Frequently asked questions

Wondering what the difference is between pilates and yoga? What you should bring to class? Our most commonly asked questions are answered here.

"What's the difference between pilates & yoga?"

Yoga focuses on flexibility, relaxation, and the mind-body connection, often incorporating breathwork and meditation. Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates, is a more structured practice that targets core strength, posture, and controlled movement.

The two practices compliment each other beautifully.

"What should I bring with me?"

We have mats, blankets and props, but you are always welcome to bring your own. You may like to bring water. It's always useful to have layers to take off while you're moving, and put back on for any relaxation time.

"I'm pregnant, can I still come to class?"

If you already have a consistent yoga practice, then you are welcome to come along to any of our yoga classes, but please make sure you let your teacher know before class. Arrive early so that they can offer any alternatives/suggestions to keep you and your baby safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, our pilates classes are not suitable for pregnancy.

"I'm new to yoga and pilates, which class should I go to?"

Head to our Classes Explained page, which will tell you which classes are suitable for beginners.

"What time should I arrive?"

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class so that it can start on time. The doors will be locked at the start time, and you will not be allowed in after that time.

"What happens if I am late or miss my class?"

Unfortunately, late arrivals will not be let in if the class has already started. If the screens are across the doors, it means the class has begun. Please do not knock on the door after this time.

Refunds cannot be given if you are late or miss your class.
